The Doula will provide emotional support, physical comfort, and information to pregnant individuals and their families during the prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum periods. This role involves assisting families with breastfeeding, strengthening parent-child relationships, identifying needs, and referring them to community resources. The Doula will also help families establish birth plans, enhance their problem-solving and advocacy skills, and be on-call 24/7 for client support and to attend births. Additionally, the Doula will participate in meetings, trainings, and outreach, maintain records, and enter data into the agency's database system.
