About The Position
Merrimack Services, working with Progressive Turnout Project, is seeking Door Knockers to support voter mobilization efforts in Florida. The mission is to encourage Florida Democrats to vote in the upcoming midterm election. Door Knockers speak with voters at their homes about the election and the importance of making their voices heard. This is an independent contractor opportunity with flexible scheduling and no required schedule or time commitment. Door Knockers choose when and where to work and may complete each packet in one session or across multiple days. Each completed door-knocking packet pays $125 and typically takes three to four hours. Those who successfully complete their first packet may be offered additional opportunities. The program runs from September 8 through November 3. Compensation is provided by direct deposit or, upon request, mailed check.
Responsibilities
- Complete an online briefing covering contract responsibilities.
- Travel door-to-door in the community or a surrounding region and speak with voters.
- Discuss the upcoming November 3 election with voters.
- Enter data from voter conversations into a phone app.
- Complete the full door-knocking task to be eligible for payment.
