About The Position

LockNet is seeking a Door Fabricator to join its Door Production Department at the Nicholasville, Kentucky warehouse facility. This is a full-time, on-site production role, with regular time in the paint booth. The role manually produces custom doors and frames to fulfill customer orders. The fabricator works independently and with a team, applies door-production and assembly knowledge, and follows applicable safety policies and OSHA and MSDS standards.

Requirements

• Proficiency with power tools needed to fabricate hollow-metal and wood doors.
• Understanding of door and hardware terminology and operation.
• Excellent safety record.

Nice To Haves

• MIG welding experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Interest in painting and finishing work.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, drill, and craft doors and frames to customer specifications.
• Paint metal doors and frames to customer specifications as needed.
• Pack finished goods in the correct packages and boxes.
• Place finished goods in designated areas manually or with a forklift, as necessary.
• Enter basic information into a computer.
• Administer and follow safety policies, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily tasks.
• Prioritize and manage time to complete assigned jobs.
• Conduct operations safely and in alignment with OSHA and MSDS standards.
