Donor Communications Manager

AltaMedCommerce, CA
$95,328 - $119,160

About The Position

The Donor Communications Manager supports the implementation of digital communications strategies that strengthen the AltaMed Foundation brand identity, improve workflow efficiency, and align messaging across platforms. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day development and delivery of donor-focused content, ensuring consistency, quality, and timeliness. The Manager supervises and supports the professional development of the Donor Relations Writer, who creates content for multiple donor-facing channels. This role coordinates and executes multi-platform communications, including website, email marketing, and social media, in collaboration with internal stakeholders to support departmental priorities. Responsibilities include managing Foundation email calendars, audience segmentation, and campaign deployment to effectively engage donors and advance fundraising efforts. This role also maintains website content and monitors digital traffic to enhance visibility and user engagement. This role tracks and analyzes performance across channels —using tools such as Google Analytics and platform-specific metrics — to inform ongoing improvements and optimize content effectiveness. The Manager also collaborates across departments — with a particular focus on the AltaMed Art Collection, one of the most comprehensive collections of Chicano and Mexican art in the country and uniquely integrated into a health care setting — as well as Government Relations and Public Affairs, to ensure messaging is aligned, culturally responsive, and strategically directed to donors and prospective supporters. Through this work, the Manager helps elevate how art advances healing, community connection, and AltaMed’s broader mission. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate strategic direction into clear, compelling digital content through effective cross-functional collaboration.
