About The Position

Repair the World is seeking a Manager, Donor Communications to lead its annual fundraising campaigns, tell stories that connect donors to the Jewish service movement, and equip frontline fundraisers with necessary research and materials. This role is the development team's primary content creator, campaign manager, and researcher. The Manager will lead Repair's two major annual fundraising campaigns, drive grassroots donor engagement year-round, write and produce the national donor newsletter, create collateral showcasing the impact of donations, and conduct prospect research. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, organized, curious, and creative, comfortable with various communication formats and campaign management. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director of Institutional Giving and is a remote position, with preference for candidates located in or near a Repair the World community.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional writing experience in fundraising, nonprofit communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate program outcomes and participant stories into clear, persuasive donor-facing content across multiple formats
  • Experience planning and executing multi-channel campaigns, including email, direct mail, and/or SMS
  • Comfort working with data to track campaign performance, interpret results, and recommend improvements
  • Experience with or willingness to learn prospect research tools and techniques (such as DonorSearch, Foundation Directory Online, or similar)
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple concurrent timelines and competing priorities
  • Passion for Repair the World’s mission and organizational values that guide our work with the frame of repairing the world, tikkun olam

  • Experience with Salesforce or an equivalent CRM, preferred
  • Experience with Monday.com, or an equivalent project management tool, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead project management and execution of Repair's two major annual fundraising campaigns, including strategy, content, channel mix, timeline, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Plan and execute grassroots fundraising efforts between major campaigns, including giving days, thematic moments, matching gift opportunities, and smaller engagement pushes.
  • Develop and test campaign strategies to grow Repair's base of grassroots and mid-level donors.
  • Track campaign performance metrics and recommend optimizations based on results.
  • Own the annual donor communications calendar across all giving levels, with emphasis on grassroots and mid-level donors.
  • Write and produce Repair's national donor newsletter and regular community updates.
  • Develop and execute stewardship and solicitation communications across email, direct mail, and SMS, with segmented approaches for different donor cohorts (new, lapsed, recurring, upgrading).
  • Support communications for the Solel Collective in partnership with the Major Gifts Director and frontline fundraisers, including stewardship touchpoints, event communications, and exclusive content.
  • Create and maintain donor communication toolkits for use by frontline fundraisers and regional staff.
  • Identify and recommend new channels, formats, or approaches to deepen donor engagement.
  • Write donor-facing content, including blog posts, stories from the field, impact snapshots, and other materials that can be promoted to donors and supporters.
  • Partner with the programs team to source and develop compelling participant, partner, and community stories.
  • Create collateral pieces (one-pagers, impact reports, case statements) that support fundraising across the organization.
  • Generate and maintain a pipeline of stories, data points, and visual assets that support cultivation and solicitation strategies.
  • Serve as a content resource and thought partner to development team members.
  • Conduct prospect research to support frontline fundraisers, including individual, foundation, and corporate prospects.
  • Prepare donor briefing documents and meeting preparation materials for cultivation and solicitation meetings as needed.
  • Maintain organized research files and ensure key findings are reflected in Salesforce records.
  • Coordinate with marketing/communications, programs, and digital teams on campaign execution and content needs.
  • Support development leadership in testing engagement strategies such as peer-to-peer campaigns and donor event content.
