About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Akron, OH is looking to hire an entry-level Donation Trailer Attendant / Customer Service Representative / Warehouse Associate. Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load donations for clothing, furniture, and other household goods.
- Ability to work outside in whatever Mother Nature throws our way.
- Customer service skills.
- Position requires an automobile to be used for shelter in the winter months.
- Can-do, get-it-done attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Enjoy working with people.
- Able to work efficiently with an awareness of what is going on around you.
Responsibilities
- Accept, load, unload and sort donations at 5 donation trailer sites in Summit County.
- Accept merchandise donations and provide assistance to donors.
- Offer donors a coupon, a receipt, and a smile.
- Sort clothing and household goods into categories.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of donations.
- Promote the development of service participants.
- Commit to safety and help keep the work area clean and void of hazards.
- Operate equipment with attention to safe operating procedures.
