Requirements

• Committed to the Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs., stand, squat, bend, and climb on a consistent basis.
• Must be High School graduate or higher.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to relate to people with diverse backgrounds.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and with other staff and volunteers.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening test.

Nice To Haves

• Experience moving furniture helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Taking donations from donors and placing in warehouse.
• Testing, cleaning, and helping maintain warehouse and store items.
• Ensuring the warehouse and ReStore operates efficiently.
• Greeting donors and assisting them with loading and unloading.
• Issuing donation receipts.
• Assisting buyers with loading their purchases.
• Cleaning all donated furniture.
• Ensuring furniture hits the sales floor in a timely fashion.
• Keeping the drop-off area and warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
• Keeping aisles clear and safe.
• Helping keep shelves stocked and organized.
• Testing all electrical merchandise.
• Testing all dishwashers, washer machines and refrigerators.
