About The Position

The Donation Attendant supports The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center’s program by maintaining the donation area and helping donors and store staff process donated items. The role includes cleaning and securing the donation trailer or pod, receiving donations and providing receipts, sorting and stacking donated materials, assisting with loading donations onto trucks, and maintaining required reports and supplies. Work schedules are determined by management, and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Must pass a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry checks.
Ability to read and write and to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
Ability to perform the listed duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Maintain and clean the area in and around the donation trailer or pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
Receive donated items from donors and provide receipts.
Maintain reports and paperwork as instructed by the supervisor.
Separate and sort donated materials into the proper containers and stack materials as instructed by the supervisor.
Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
Inform the supervisor when supplies such as brooms, receipts, totes, or carts are running low.
Secure and lock the donation trailer or pod at the end of each shift.
