About The Position
The Donation Attendant represents Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana to donors by providing prompt, courteous service, accepting donations, and issuing receipts. The role includes sorting donated materials as instructed and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area while following company safety policies. The attendant may be assigned to work at an attended donation station on short notice.
Requirements
- Interact cordially and productively with a variety of people.
- Market Goodwill and explain its mission to the general public.
- Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
- Engage in prolonged standing and walking, and frequent bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Prior service-industry work experience preferred, but not required.
