About The Position

The Donation Attendant works as a member of the store team to deliver an excellent customer and brand experience and promote sales for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA) and its affiliated entities. The role receives donations courteously and efficiently and directs items to the appropriate location in the production room or on the sales floor.

The position requires regular, consistent in-person attendance and cross-training in other store positions as business needs require. Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to pass a forklift certification class.
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position.

Responsibilities

• Accept donations from customers while providing outstanding customer service.
• Correctly label Gaylords.
• Offer a receipt to every donor, regardless of donation size.
• Ask about potentially hazardous donated products and provide customers with a list of locations for proper disposal.
• Write sales tickets and sold signs for furniture, electrical items, and other large items.
• Assist customers with loading and unloading furniture or other items to and from vehicles.
• Maintain merchandise placement and production-room organization according to PPM (picture process map) standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading merchandise onto and off trucks or trailers, as needed.
• Safely operate pallet jacks and walkie stackers.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of company-owned equipment, including walkie stackers, and follow and ensure compliance with safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment.
• Perform floor care duties at a retail store, as needed.
• Cross-train in other store positions as business needs require.
• Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance.
