About The Position

Join Goodwill Columbus and Turn Donations Into Opportunities. As a Donation Attendant, you'll be the first friendly face donors meet when supporting Goodwill's mission. You'll help accept donations, provide outstanding customer service, and ensure items are processed efficiently so they can support job training and employment services throughout our community. Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to make sound decisions and adapt to changing priorities
• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and grasping
• Frequent use of hands and wrists for sorting and handling donations
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year
• Regular and dependable attendance required

Nice To Haves

• Retail, warehouse, customer service, or donation center experience is a plus, but we'll train the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist donors with a positive, customer-focused attitude
• Help unload donations from vehicles and provide donation receipts
• Sort donated items into designated categories for processing
• Assist with loading and unloading donations as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe donation site
• Track donor activity and maintain accurate daily records
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures
• Support team operations and complete other duties as assigned
