This position is responsible for providing training, technical assistance, and support to Child Protective Workers within the Department of Children and Families Protective Investigations Division. The role involves developing protocols for managing domestic violence cases, serving as a resource for domestic violence survivors and community partners, and collaborating with community agencies to enhance victim safety, increase batterer accountability, and reduce child welfare system involvement. The Victim Advocate will offer counseling, follow-up services, information and referral, personal advocacy, criminal justice support, emergency legal advocacy, and assistance with Victim Compensation claims.
