About The Position

This internship offers the opportunity to work under the supervision of Tax Managers, assisting with tasks related to international and domestic tax compliance, tax planning, tax reporting, tax controversy, and transfer pricing. The role involves assisting with U.S. tax compliance duties, preparing tax return calculations and documentation, resolving state income tax notices, compiling and analyzing financial information, researching tax filing positions, and assisting in the implementation of process improvements. Interns will also support tax planning projects, global tax provision processes, and transfer pricing duties, while learning to collaborate with non-tax corporate and operational functions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Ability to be in the greater Milwaukee area in the summer.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of the Tax Managers.
  • Assist with tasks related to international and domestic tax compliance as well as tax planning, tax reporting, tax controversy and transfer pricing.
  • Assisting with U.S. tax compliance duties related to international and domestic operations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of tax return calculations and documentation (including support for forms 1120, 1065, 5471, 8865, 8858, and state income tax returns).
  • Assisting with state income tax notice resolution and documentation.
  • Compiling and analyzing financial information and researching tax filing positions.
  • Assisting in the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of ongoing tax processes.
  • Assisting with tax planning projects as needed, from design and implementation to execution and documentation.
  • Supporting with components of global tax provision process.
  • Assisting with transfer pricing duties related to calculations, intercompany agreements and documentation.
  • Learn to work with non-tax corporate and operational functions such as legal, treasury, and accounting.
