About The Position

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a talented and motivated Domestic Customer Tracking Agent I to track and trace shipments accurately. The team ensures shipments are updated promptly, troubleshoots service disruptions, and communicates service delays. The role also involves coordinating with AIT field offices and agent/carrier networks to support on-time performance and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 1 year of customer service or tracking experience in a freight forwarding environment.
Basic to intermediate PC skills, including MS Office.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time and tasks.
Attention to detail.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Team player who works respectfully with others.
Strong work ethic and appreciation for ownership, independence, accountability, and autonomy.

Customer-service focus and ability to build relationships with internal and external customers.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
Prior experience working with AS400.
Knowledge of U.S. geography and airport codes.

Responsibilities

Track and trace shipments as necessary to ensure proper movement and delivery.
Participate in the development and use of suitable sales forecasting processes and models.
Update shipments with current status and comprehensive notes.
Communicate daily with AIT field offices and AIT’s agent/carrier networks to ensure on-time performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve service disruptions.
Maintain familiarity with conditions requiring special services and ensure accurate data entry of related costs.
Answer departmental phone lines and emails.
Cultivate and foster trusting relationships with AIT’s agent/carrier networks.
