Domestic Cleaner
About The Position
K&A Appliance is seeking an experienced Domestic Helper/Cleaner to work Part-Time or Full-Time on the upkeep of the interior of newly built residential structures on one property located in Conestoga, PA. This role operates under the leadership and instruction of a Full-Time Cleaning Supervisor. The position offers negotiable hours and days, with part-time ranging from 15 to 30 hours per week and full-time from 40 to 50 hours per week. The pay rate is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience. All equipment and supplies will be provided, and employees are paid weekly by direct deposit. Additional benefits include employee discounts on appliances and a flexible schedule. Full-time employees also receive paid vacation time, paid weekday holidays, and a 401k retirement plan with company-match up to 5%.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in housekeeping and/or janitorial work.
- Willing and able to work under the leadership and instruction of a Cleaning Supervisor.
- Experience and comfort working around pets, babies, and children.
- Courteous, friendly, and polite to the employer/homeowner, company leaders, supervisor, co-workers, contractors, family & guests.
- Assure safe & healthy working practices & environment.
- Must be organized, able to keep scheduled routines while also being adaptable to attend to new/different requests as they are made, and then be able to prioritize & express resulting adjustments needed to the supervisor.
- Have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
- Dusting furniture, shelves, and other surfaces.
- Cleaning windows and glass surfaces.
- Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks.
- Cleaning kitchens, including countertops, appliances, and floors.
- Sanitizing surfaces.
- Making beds and changing linens.
- Distributing clean towels and toiletries throughout the house.
- Tidying up rooms and organizing belongings.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins.
- Maintaining a clutter-free environment.
