This position provides an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of the manufacturing finance staff team while using your influence (data-driven) to drive business improvements. You will work with a diverse, cross-functional team to drive achievement of operating metrics aligned with financial commitments. This position supports a Director of Manufacturing and will have opportunities to demonstrate analytical and leadership potential to senior levels of finance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
  • Good communication and confident presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well across multiple functions, and willing team player
  • Excellent analytical capability with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Self-starter, quick and willing learner
  • Experience using Excel, Power Query/Power BI; knowledge of other analytical tools helpful (Open Code, Power Apps, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Operate as Manufacturing Director Finance lead developing physicals-based business analyses to support critical decision making
  • Continuously monitor changing business conditions while assessing the potential impacts on labor & overhead commitments
  • Collaborate with plant finance teams to understand key issues, and solution those issues to drive efficiencies
  • Provide analytical support for special studies and ad hoc initiatives
  • Partner with plants to understand and report month-end close and forecast performance; consolidate plant forecasts and provide insights to senior management; partner with plants to understand hiring needs and support hiring requests
  • Develop physicals-based plans to deliver efficiency targets; develop “should cost” assessments to drive the budget process for each plant; conduct special studies to evaluate the impact of capacity changes on labor & overhead cost; finalize and deploy budgets consistent with North America Manufacturing financial commitments
  • Contribute to Manufacturing Modernization efforts and be willing to upskill to use the latest technology to enable more efficient execution of responsibilities
