At Windy City Paws, we love what we do and we want to grow our team with like-minded pet lovers! Windy City Paws is looking for a dependable person to join our professional team as an Evening and Weekend Dog Walker! This is a part-time, W-2 employed position that receives benefits like paid time off (PTO) and 401(k) payroll contributions. Additionally, you will be provided with paid training and education on dog and cat behavior throughout your tenure with us!
Requirements
- Availability: at least 3 weekday evenings 5pm-8pm or 6pm-8pm (required)
- Availability: Some availability on Saturday & Sunday between 8am-8pm
- Vehicle Required
- Reliable commute to Chicago service areas listed above
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and a minimum age of 18.
- Capable of withstanding all weather conditions outside and several hours of walking each day.
- A smartphone with a data plan for communication and tracking walks.
- Open to last-minute requests
- Willing to pick-up/ drop-off keys from the office; this could be multiple times throughout the week if necessary
- 3 Month Commitment Minimum
Responsibilities
- Prepare the dogs in each household to outside with appropriate safety gear
- Lead 30-60 minute walks and active play sessions
- Administer food, water, or medication per client instructions.
- Clean up after pups outdoors and indoors as needed.
- Send updates/photos and log behavior or health notes.
- Build strong rapport with pets and their owners
