About The Position

Scenthound is a national brand focused on making routine wellness care, not just haircuts, a normal part of every dog’s life. Their membership model ensures dogs receive consistent care based on the five essentials of dog hygiene: Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails, and Teeth. This role is a ground-floor opportunity in Seattle, with 11 locations planned. Team members who demonstrate performance and align with company values will be considered for leadership roles as the company expands. The Trimmer is a skilled and integral part of the team, responsible for delivering expert grooming and quality clips to ensure members' dogs look and feel their best. This position requires a minimum of one year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school, knowledge of dog breeds and care standards, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stamina for standing for extended periods, reliable transportation, and a willingness to work in a smoke-free environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school
Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and tools of the trade
Strength to lift up to 70 pounds

Responsibilities

Groom dogs to Scenthound standards, specializing in one signature cut: one length all-over with a neat face.
Create an environment that supports learning, open communication, and teamwork.
Identify when and where help is needed, and pitch in to keep the Scenter on schedule.
Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times.
Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager.
