About The Position

Feeders Pet Supply is hiring a Dog Groomer to care for customers’ dogs and provide grooming services. The groomer is responsible for the well-being and safety of each dog, communicating with clients to understand the services they want, and greeting dogs to identify and address their individual needs. Grooming services include bathing, ear and teeth cleaning, nail trimming, anal gland expressing, and hair trimming. Groomers adjust their methods to suit each dog. Compensation includes commissions and tips; earnings are based on the commission earned plus tips. The company offers flexible scheduling, education opportunities, employee discounts, and a free pet food program. Full-time employees are eligible for full benefits and paid time off. Part-time and full-time positions are available, with daytime and nighttime shifts seven days a week.

Requirements

At least one year of pet grooming experience, although training may be provided to the right candidate in lieu of experience.
Animal care education from a reputable academy or grooming program.
Experience using Microsoft Office programs, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
Experience working with retail point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory systems.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to communicate well with customers and attention to detail.
Prioritization of safety.
