About The Position

As a Pet Care Team Member, you’ll be a frontline hero of Skiptown’s daycare and boarding programs, caring for pups of different sizes and temperaments. The role includes leading playgroups, balancing play and rest, monitoring dogs’ wellbeing, delivering meals and enrichment, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. You’ll communicate observations and needs with teammates and leaders and help keep both pups and the team calm and thriving. The position is based in Denver and is part-time. It pays $19.29 per hour. The work takes place indoors and outdoors in varied weather and can be loud or messy. Employees must be physically active and on their feet for 8 or more hours and lift pups and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Take pride in maintaining a clean space and being reliable.
Have good instincts with pups and care about their wellbeing.
Work effectively as part of a team.
Be able to remain on your feet and physically active for 8 or more hours.
Be comfortable lifting pups and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
Be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varied weather, and in loud or messy conditions.
Be resilient to hair, dirt, drool, and occasional launching pups.

Nice To Haves

Experience in pup daycare, shelters, veterinary clinics, or animal handling.
Comfort working with pups of all sizes and temperaments.
High standards and comfort working in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

Lead playgroups and rotate pups between rest and play according to their size and playstyle.
Use calm, intentional body language to redirect behavior and maintain safe group dynamics.
Monitor each pup’s body language, appetite, mood, and signs of stress or illness.
Deliver meals and enrichment services and track care in Skiptown’s custom app.
Maintain a clean, safe, and joyful space while following cleaning protocols.
Communicate observations and needs clearly with teammates and leaders.
Help keep pups and the team calm, happy, and thriving.
