Hounds Town Atlanta Smyrna is seeking a dependable, energetic, and dog-loving Kennel Attendant to join our team. This position is responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in our daycare, boarding, and grooming facility while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, physically active, and passionate about animal care and customer service.

Requirements

Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Previous experience working with dogs is preferred but not required.
Passion for working with dogs.

Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
Willingness to learn dog body language and safe handling techniques.

Responsibilities

Supervise dogs during daycare playgroups and monitor behavior to ensure safe interactions.
Feed, water, medicate (as directed), and care for boarding dogs.
Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, feeding areas, and common spaces throughout the day.
Monitor dogs for signs of illness, injury, or stress and report concerns immediately.
Safely separate dogs when necessary and follow playgroup protocols.
Assist with check-in and check-out of daycare and boarding guests.
Maintain accurate feeding, medication, and behavior records.
Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with pet parents.
Assist with laundry, dishes, waste disposal, and other housekeeping duties.
Follow all company safety procedures and animal handling policies.
Support team members and help ensure smooth daily operations.
