About The Position

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an entry-level, part-time Documentation Specialist to join the Academic Technology trainers within The Center for Instructional Technology and Training (CITT). This position will support the IT Training team by documenting and developing online and face-to-face training materials, creating training aids, and maintaining training resources. UFIT provides state-of-the-art enterprise IT systems to enable teaching, learning, research, and service at the University of Florida. Employment with UFIT offers an opportunity to work with dedicated employees focused on understanding and meeting the technological needs of the university community. UFIT Training offers comprehensive services to enhance the technical skills and knowledge of staff, faculty, and students through workshops, online courses, and personalized training sessions. The Academic Technology team is located in the Hub on the main campus.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • This position is open to all students eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with training designers and incorporate feedback as part of the work process
  • Create technical documentation and user guides
  • Assist with creating visually appealing web sites accessible to all users
  • Able to provide high-quality customer service in professional environments
