About The Position

ServiceLink, a top provider in the mortgage services industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Document Recording Specialist to join their team in Irvine, CA. This in-office role requires candidates to be located within a reasonable commuting distance and be willing to work in the office daily. The position is for individuals currently authorized to work in the US full-time, without requiring future sponsorship. The role involves recording title documents, performing quality checks, submitting documents to counties, calculating fees, troubleshooting rejections, and communicating with clients.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 -2 years’ experience working in an office environment.
  • Proven customer service skills.
  • Must be able to use and have basic computer skills and be proficient in the Microsoft software products.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be capable of meeting daily production goals with a high level of accuracy.
  • Critical reasoning and thinking skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience recording deed preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality control checks on unrecorded documents prior to recording.
  • Submit documents to counties, for recording, via e-file systems as well as through direct mail.
  • Utilize UPS for tracking of incoming and outgoing documents.
  • Calculate filing fees to be paid to the county for recording.
  • Answer phone calls and reply to e-mails from our recording service clients.
  • Troubleshoot rejected documents and re-submit to the county.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.
