About The Position

The Contractor is responsible for providing direct end-user support for the applications being supported, including both telephone support and on-site assistance. This role involves managing legal and general office files, maintaining inventory control records, ordering supplies, and preparing documents for scanning and uploading into automated systems. The technician will also create and organize electronic files, assemble legal documents, and perform docketing duties using an automated case tracking system. Some physical exertion may be required, including standing, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing supply carts, and lifting moderately heavy items up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to understand task objectives and their context within the litigation support effort.
  • Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly.
  • Must have typing/keyboarding skills.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Must be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Litigation support experience valued.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct end-user support for applications, including telephone support and on-site assistance.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and set up rooms for legal staff.
  • Receive and review incoming correspondence and deliver it to the appropriate personnel.
  • Receive telephone calls and visitors, screening those that can be handled without assistance.
  • Maintain legal and general office files.
  • Maintain inventory control records and order supplies for legal staff.
  • Review, screen, and control incoming mail.
  • Use various applications to search and retrieve information from shared file networks.
  • Prepare documents for scanning, label files, and upload scanned files into automated systems.
  • Create electronic file folders and organize electronic files.
  • Assemble legal documents from file material.
  • Separate, screen, select, assemble, and organize files and records material for disposition or transfer.
  • Perform docketing duties, including opening, updating, and closing cases through the automated case tracking system.
  • Search databases for required information as necessary.
