About The Position

This role is primarily responsible for document management for projects and personnel, performed under general supervision. The Document Control position requires a strong understanding of document control standards, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in various software applications. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with advanced coursework preferred, and at least 5 years of relevant industrial experience in document control and administration. The position involves managing electronic files, researching documents, responding to client requests, generating reports, and assisting project managers with administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in document control and administration.
  • Knowledge and application of company standards.
  • Knowledge of engineering document control standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction plans and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of large-scale scanner and plotter operation.
  • Ability to organize effectively.
  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Web Collaboration Tools and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to comply with client procedures.
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced coursework is preferred.
  • Newforma Project Center (training provided).
  • Newforma software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Document management of electronic files for distribution which may include converting between different software packages, printing, scanning and/or copying.
  • Researching files and records to locate appropriate documents as requested by other personnel.
  • Responding to client requests of all types.
  • Generating activity reports as required by the project managers.
  • Assisting the project managers with administrative tasks as necessary.
