About The Position

Dover Precision Components (DPC) is seeking a Document Control Specialist for its FW Murphy manufacturing facility in Rosenberg, Texas. This role supports production, engineering, and quality teams in manufacturing and delivering instrumentation and control solutions for the Oil & Gas Production and Natural Gas Compression markets. Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in administration, documentation, and/or quality system management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate complex results and recommendations in a dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to investigate complex issues and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Passion for creating innovative approaches to solve abstract business problems.
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel.
  • Strong typing and editing skills.
  • Strong data organization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant quality, and/or documentation experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), such as ETQ.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the document control database, including tracking systems for FW Murphy's records and document revision level status.
  • Support the workflow and delivery of required documents, releasing new and revised documents through Agile and/or ETQ.
  • Maintain the Quality Management System for the electronic distribution of approved controlled documents through Agile PLM.
  • Ensure proper handling of quality documents, including policies, procedures, templates, and administrative records.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required by the document control procedure.
  • Implement and oversee document control procedures to ensure that all records are up-to-date, accessible, applicable, documented, and uploaded in Agile.
  • Manage document control systems or databases, ensuring they are secure, updated, and user-friendly.
  • Support the release process and the upload of 8D and PFMA documents in Agile.
  • Verify that all documentation adheres to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Train staff in document control procedures and the use of document management systems.
  • Provide support to internal teams for any document-related queries.
  • Create a numerical document system, file documentation, and oversee review/control packages.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and other departments to gather, distribute, and archive documents.
  • Ensure clear communication regarding document statuses, revisions, and updates.
