About The Position

Rantec is seeking a Document Control Administrator. This role is ideal for computer-savvy individuals with a high attention to detail, and no prior experience is necessary. The Document Control Administrator will maintain and control the Quality Management System (QMS) required documents for the company. This position serves as the principal liaison between Engineering, Operations, and QA regarding the processing and controlling of documented configuration, design, and procedure changes. Rantec is an engineering-based company located in Los Osos, California, specializing in the design and manufacturing of power supplies for the military and aerospace markets.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Computer keyboard work with high accuracy.
  • Must be detail oriented with precision, accuracy and timeliness.
  • Must have an organized and orderly approach to work processes.
  • Strong knowledge and skill when using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Professionalism when sending emails to suppliers and among company employees and answering the phone.
  • Multi-tasking ability.
  • Dependable assertive self-starter, that works with all functions of the organization and team.

Nice To Haves

  • Undergrad college experience preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience with configuration process controls preferred, preferably in an Aerospace design and manufacturing environment.
  • General knowledge of bills of materials, assembly drawings, parts lists and schematics, revision status and controlled documentation.
  • Especially when updating documents on server in in ‘Arch Doc Control” and “Doc-E-Vault” folders on server and in “Syteline” ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute new or revised engineering drawings to production in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and schedule onsite calibration services for equipment and instruments. Arrange pickup and return of equipment needing external calibration services.
  • Track calibration due dates and ensure timely completion to meet regulatory and quality requirements.
  • Participate in Internal Audits.
  • Release Engineer Change Notices.
  • Maintain ESD calibrations to date.
  • Schedule and organize IPC trainings.
  • Scan Work Order’s, Job Order’s and/or Purchase Order’s.
  • Upload test data to customer portals.
  • Email documents to suppliers, per Purchasing’s request.
  • Create and send documents using DocuSign.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations.
  • Arrive to work on-time, and work each day, as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
