About The Position

DHL is hiring a part-time Dockworker in Coppell, Texas. Dockworkers ensure the efficient and timely processing and handling of customer outbound and inbound shipments. The role requires compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies, and the ability to work well in a team environment.

Requirements

Driver's license with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally and 40 pounds frequently.
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch repeatedly.

Responsibilities

Sort, pack, load, and unload containers under tight deadlines.
Palletize and separate freight and documents.
Ensure all delivery material is prepared for shipment.
Operate a scanner to record shipping and package information for documents and packages picked up or delivered.
Drive a forklift.
Report suspected security breaches or unusual happenings to a supervisor immediately.
Maintain good work habits, including arriving on time and following standard work and safety procedures.
May assist a supervisor in orienting, training, assigning, and checking the work of other employees.
