About The Position
TForce Freight is seeking a part-time Dockworker to help ensure freight is loaded safely and efficiently so customers’ shipments are delivered on time and in the same condition received. The role is part of a safety-focused team and involves operating powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts. Tractors are used to maneuver vehicles safely and efficiently, including in tight spaces. TForce Freight is a North American less-than-truckload freight carrier and a subsidiary of TFI International. It provides regional, interregional, long-haul, and cross-border transportation and logistics services through more than 178 service centers.
Requirements
- No CDL is required.
- Impeccable customer service and dedication.
- Perform essential job functions safely, without obvious risk of injury to self or coworkers.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Forklift operator certification.
- Customer-focused and team-oriented work ethic.
- Safety-focused.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Operate yard trucks to manage dock needs and maintain a safe, clean environment.
- Print bills of lading (BOL) for daily deliveries.
- Process and palletize damaged penny and RTV merchandise.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure workplace.
- Help maintain and care for dock equipment.
- Unload cargo using cranes or forklifts.
- Secure shipments upon arrival.
