About The Position

TForce Freight is seeking a full-time Dockworker to help ensure freight is loaded safely and efficiently so customers’ shipments arrive on time and in the same condition in which they were received. The role is part of a safety-focused team and involves operating powered warehouse equipment and tractors to handle freight and maneuver vehicles safely, including in tight spaces. The position pays $24.75 per hour, with overtime after 8 hours. TForce Freight describes itself as a North American less-than-truckload freight carrier and a subsidiary of TFI International, with more than 178 service centers and regional, interregional, long-haul, and cross-border transportation services.

Requirements

No CDL is required.
Provide excellent customer service.
Perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to oneself or coworkers.
Be able to read, write, and speak English.
Be a U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Have strong organizational and time-management skills.
Hold forklift operator certification.
Have a customer-focused, team-oriented work ethic.
Be safety-focused.
Be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Operate yard trucks to manage dock needs and maintain a safe, clean environment.
Print bills of lading (BOLs) for daily deliveries.
Process and palletize damaged penny and return-to-vendor (RTV) merchandise.
Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure workplace.
Help maintain and care for dock equipment.
Unload cargo using cranes or forklifts.
Secure shipments upon arrival.
Operate powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts.
Use tractors to maneuver vehicles safely and efficiently, including in tight spaces.
