About The Position

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Dock Worker in Clearfield, Utah, for work in a 30-degree warehouse and loading dock environment. The schedule is a day shift consisting of four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Fridays and overtime may be possible, and the posting says weekend work may be required depending on business needs. Pay is $18.00 per hour, paid weekly. The role involves loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and shipping containers; breaking down and building shipping boxes; moving, sorting, and staging freight; checking shipments against shipping documents; and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe dock. The worker also follows safety and material-handling procedures, assists with inventory control and other warehouse duties, and meets productivity and accuracy expectations. The work requires frequent physical activity and the ability to work in a fast-paced, cold environment.

Requirements

Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation if required by the position.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment at 30-degree temperatures.
Basic reading, counting, and shipment-label verification skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Able to pass a background check.
Able to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.
Break down and build boxes for shipping.
Move, sort, and stage freight in designated dock and warehouse areas.
Verify shipments against bills of lading, packing slips, and other shipping documents.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe loading dock.
Follow company safety procedures and proper material-handling practices.
Assist with inventory control and other warehouse duties as needed.
Meet productivity and accuracy expectations.
