About The Position

This is a Part Time Position with available Morning & Evening Shifts. The role is with a stable and growing organization that offers pay beginning at $23.95 per hour and opportunities for quick advancement. The work environment is described as professional, positive, and people-centered, utilizing modern facilities and clean, late model equipment. As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe, and claims-free manner, maximizing space when loading freight. While not working inside a warehouse, you will be responsible for completing pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment, properly documenting all freight control processes, and participating in training and improvement programs. Availability for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts, and/or assignments is required, along with adherence to operational procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

18 years of age
Basic math skills
Fluent in English
Able to pass a drug screen
Legally eligible to work in the United States

Responsibilities

Load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner.
Maximize space when loading freight.
Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment.
Properly document all freight control processes.
Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments.
Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
