AM - Dock Worker / Forklift Operator (Part-Time)
About The Position
This is a Part Time Position with available shift times Monday- Friday from 4:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The role is with a stable and growing organization that offers pay beginning at $23.95 per hour, quick advancement opportunities, and a professional, positive, and people-centered work environment with modern facilities and clean, late model equipment. As a Dock Worker, you will load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner, maximizing space when loading freight. You will also complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment, properly document all freight control processes, participate in training and improvement programs, be available for irregular work schedules, and adhere to operational procedures.
Requirements
- 18 years of age
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner.
- Maximize space when loading freight.
- Complete pre and post trip inspections on all dock equipment.
- Properly document all freight control processes.
- Participate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programs.
- Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignments.
- Adhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker Manual.
