Dock Worker Clerk - Part Time

A Dock Worker Clerk will provide clerical support to the Dock Supervisor to assist in operating a productive shift.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of office and/or operations experience, preferably in the transportation industry
- Experience in using handheld computers/scanners
- Proficiency with AS400, SAP and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support and assistance to the Dock Supervisor to assist with high levels of productivity and smooth operations
- Prepare and maintain daily paperwork to move freight including DOT files to ensure confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare a variety of documents and reports using AS400 and SAP
- Photograph the loading quality of all trailers
- Assists with coordinating freight, information and people in a systematic way to optimize efficiency while minimizing duplication of effort
- Notify the Supervisor of load cut times and assist in ensuring they are met
- Assist the Supervisor in taking all necessary steps in the closeout preparation of a trailer
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
