Requirements
- Be polite, responsible, friendly, hard-working, and able to lift 50 pounds.
- Comfort working outdoors and around water.
- Weekend availability in September and October is required.
Nice To Haves
- Some experience with watersports is desirable but not required.
- Multi lingual skills are desirable but not required.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Helping customers on the dock with canoes, kayaks, and gear
- Answering questions about how to paddle, the river, and any other concerns
- Loading and unloading of kayaks, canoes and paddleboards off storage racks and boat trailers and showing clients basic paddling technique.
- Being aware of safety hazards on on the dock and on the water and emergency response protocols.
- Some positions will include other responsibilities like minor repairs and maintenance of boats, cleaning and desk work such as using a cash register.
