About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting overall logistics and operations for the dock area, warehouse, and laundry room. Duties include receiving and sorting donations, stocking donations, ensuring laundry is done daily for shelter clients, and driving a company vehicle for donation collection routes as needed. This is a non-supervisory position, but the individual will be responsible for the oversight of volunteers and vocational workers, requiring the ability to train and provide direction to others. A valid driver's license and the ability to perform heavy lifting up to 75 lbs are required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance required.
• Proven driving record.
• Defensive driving skills.
• Good organizational and prioritization skills.
• Able to work independently and with others.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to relate to, work with, and communicate with diverse individuals.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry 75 pounds.
• Great attendance.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operation of the laundry room, including organizing the process to ensure linens are washed and folded daily, and laundry room shelves are restocked.
• Safely drive company vehicles around the Omaha metropolitan area to collect various donations.
• Sort, stock, and distribute material donations and supplies.
• Work with community volunteers and clients in the work training program by providing supervision, training, and direction.
• Support the dock by ensuring each donor is greeted with professionalism.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, volunteers, vendors, and employees.
• Load and unload goods out of and into vehicles.
• Use and maintain company-provided hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, carts, miscellaneous equipment, and vehicles in a safe manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
