About The Position

This role is responsible for the daily operations of HRM’s dock and the Heart Distribution Center to ensure a safe working environment and a good flow of donations for our volunteers to sort through.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrates a personal commitment to HRM's mission and the ability to prayerfully discern and respond to the leading of the Holy Spirit in ministry.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds, personalities, and leadership styles.
• Demonstrates initiative, problem-solving, and creative thinking.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite, POS systems).
• Forklift certification.
• Ability to pass a health exam to get a DOT Card

• Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dock operations: Staff/volunteer supervision, safety, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, load staging, and loading/unloading.
• Equipment: Pallet jacks, forklifts, baler, freezers, and box trucks, including inspections and ensuring operability.
• Donations: Pickup, receiving, storage, delivery, and coordinating volunteer drivers.
• Distribution Center: Maintaining organization and supporting staff, partners, and volunteers.
• Safety & compliance: Health, safety, cleanliness, hazard identification, maintenance, product handling, and customer-service policies.
• Additional store support: Home Depot kitchen and bath assistance, store events/promotions, and improving customer experience.
• Transportation: Ability to operate a box truck with a DOT card.
