About The Position

McCrometer, a Veralto company, is a global leader in flow instrumentation, designing, developing, and manufacturing world-class flow measurement equipment for various industries including oil and gas, agriculture and irrigation, water and wastewater systems management, and industrial processes. This is an onsite, Day Shift position (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30pm PT) in the Product Operations Team at our Hemet, CA location. Overtime and weekends may be required. The work environment is an indoor industrial setting with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low to moderate noise levels. Employees will be required to wear employer-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, steel toe shoes, and gloves as needed.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations in a manufacturing environment.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience with driving a forklift.

  • Familiarity with freight carriers (LTL, FTL, small parcel) and shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all inbound and outbound shipments, including LTL, FTL, and small parcel carriers (UPS, FedEx).
  • Ensure all shipments are properly labeled, documented, and verified prior to departure.
  • Confirm all product has physically shipped before invoicing and communicate status to the Traffic team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for carriers, ensuring proper loading, pickup, and documentation.
  • Monitor carrier activity to prevent unauthorized or incorrect freight pickup.
  • Own and maintain staging areas (Ready to Ship, Will Call, On Hold, Cancelled, etc.).
  • Ensure clear organization, visibility, and flow of materials between staging locations.
  • Move and coordinate materials to support efficient loading and shipping execution.
  • Identify and escalate any material flow disruptions or bottlenecks.
  • Verify shipment accuracy to prevent mislabeled or incorrect product from being shipped.
  • Ensure compliance with internal shipping standards and external carrier requirements.
  • Track and manage returned or rejected shipments, ensuring timely disposition and communication.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce shipping errors and improve dock performance.
  • Partner with Crating, Receiving, and Traffic teams to ensure alignment on shipment readiness and priorities.
  • Communicate shipment status, issues, and exceptions in real time to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support daily execution through Daily Management (DM) and standard work practices.
  • Establish and maintain standard work for dock operations.
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive improvements in dock processes, staging, and material handling.
  • Support Lean initiatives including 5S, visual management, and waste reduction.
  • Maintain a safe and organized dock environment.
