This is a 2nd Shift Position. The Dock Clerk is responsible for ensuring all facility safety rules and regulations are followed and all violations are reported immediately. They will promote good housekeeping of the facility and adherence to the 5s program, and assist in driving the facility Safety audits, Zone walks and Quality audit programs. The role involves performing technical job duties such as releasing/providing daily work to shipping associates to complete orders efficiently in the EWM system, and running reports to maintain all orders current for the distribution center to meet KPI metrics. The Dock Clerk will ensure compliance of handling special identified customer processing requests, and act as a liaison with Transportation and Customer Service, advising them of requested information or errors. This role includes scheduling outbound trailers with all routing for all customer needs domestic and international, tracking and ensuring completion of all orders once they come to the shipping area, and partnering with Coordinators to address all piles in the shipping area in a timely manner. Daily updates to tracking logs, boards, audits, emails, and checklists are required. The position also involves assisting in the accurate processing of all paperwork (including BOLs) for US and International customer orders, taking action on processing incomplete orders, and ensuring the proper flow of the shipping department, including the small parcel area, non con area, LTL lines, sortation loop, and packing area. The Dock Clerk will assist department Coordinators toward analyzing and detecting problems and work toward their ultimate solution. Additionally, they will assist on the ASN process, wrapping and loading of pallets, and flexible hours to cover if required. All other duties as assigned will also be performed.
