DNEA (Malware)

Markesman Group•Fort Meade, MD

About The Position

This role focuses on Digital Network Intelligence (DNI) and network exploitation analysis to support JTF ARES mission requirements. The analyst will examine adversary networks, communications, protocols, and digital environments to identify and characterize targets. This includes mapping network infrastructure and relationships to understand target environments, analyzing network traffic and metadata to find intelligence opportunities, and developing technical target profiles and network assessments for cyber operations. The position requires correlating information from various intelligence sources, identifying adversary tactics and network behavior changes, and producing technical intelligence reports, diagrams, and briefings. Collaboration with various teams is essential to provide actionable technical intelligence and support time-sensitive mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience performing Digital Network Exploitation Analysis, Digital Network Intelligence, Technical Network Analysis, or closely related cyber intelligence analysis.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, network architecture, internet infrastructure, and common network protocols.
  • Experience analyzing network data, communications metadata, or other technically derived intelligence.
  • Experience identifying and characterizing network infrastructure, devices, services, and relationships between network entities.
  • Ability to combine multiple intelligence sources to develop technical assessments and actionable intelligence.
  • Experience producing intelligence reports, target profiles, network diagrams, or other technical analytical products.
  • Understanding of cyber operations, target development, and the role technical intelligence plays in operational planning.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical findings to both technical and operational audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Digital Network Intelligence (DNI) and network exploitation analysis in support of JTF ARES mission requirements.
  • Analyze adversary networks, communications infrastructure, protocols, and digital environments to identify and characterize targets.
  • Map network infrastructure, relationships, nodes, services, and communication pathways to develop a comprehensive understanding of target environments.
  • Analyze network traffic, metadata, technical reporting, and other intelligence sources to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential intelligence opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain technical target profiles and network assessments in support of cyber operations and intelligence collection.
  • Correlate information from SIGINT, DNI, cyber intelligence, and other available sources to support target development and operational planning.
  • Identify adversary tactics, techniques, procedures, infrastructure, and changes in network behavior that may impact ongoing operations.
  • Produce technical intelligence reports, network diagrams, analytical assessments, and briefings for mission partners and leadership.
  • Collaborate with target analysts, TDNA personnel, cyber operators, intelligence analysts, and other mission teams to provide actionable technical intelligence.
  • Support time-sensitive mission requirements by conducting focused research and analysis of emerging targets and network activity.
