About The Position

Sentar is seeking Digital Network Exploitation Analysts (DNEAs) in Hawaii. Analysts evaluate target opportunities using all-source data to understand and map target networks and help develop detailed exploitation and operations plans. They analyze SIGINT and cybersecurity data across multiple layers of the OSI network stack, applying knowledge of logical and physical IP core infrastructure, communication devices and their network connections, and network traffic movements. They also contribute to developing new tradecraft as technologies evolve. The position involves collaborating with government, military, and contractor personnel to build a shared understanding of intelligence needs, mission relevance, and areas of expertise. Analysts form hypotheses, critically assess and select analysis techniques, and query, merge, enrich, evaluate, and pivot within data to develop and share insights. They document, contextualize, and communicate findings—including newly developed tradecraft—to teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers. The specific labor category, from Level 1 through Level 4, is determined by applicable experience and education.

  • A degree in Computer Science. Related fields such as Engineering or Mathematics may qualify if coursework concentrates on algorithms, computer architecture (not network architecture), programming methodologies and languages, data structures, logic and computation, and advanced mathematics. IT or IS degrees may qualify if coursework is equivalent in amount and type to a Computer Science major.
  • Relevant experience in computer or information systems design, development, or analysis roles. Other qualifying experience may include hardware or software engineering, programming, computer or network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, systems engineering, or network and systems administration.
  • Military training in a relevant area, such as the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC), may count toward relevant experience; for example, a 24-week JCAC course may count as six months of experience.
