DME Coordinator / Orthopaedic Technician
About The Position
South Carolina Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center is in immediate need for a full time DME Coordinator/cast technician. Position is for a cast technician/DME specialist in an orthopaedic setting in North Charleston, SC. The Cast Technician plays a key role in patient care by focusing on the proper fitting and application of braces, splints, and casts. This position requires a strong understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) and a patient-centered approach to ensure comfort, function, and recovery support. In addition to hands-on clinical responsibilities, the specialist will also coordinate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations before dispensing equipment, ensuring smooth and compliant delivery of care. Suitable candidate has multi tasking, customer service, and enjoys the challenge of working in a dynamic and busy medical environment.

Nice To Haves
- Certified Athletic Trainer
- 1 year of experience with EMR systems
