About The Position

Manage casino operations on an assigned shift. Be responsible for all departments, personnel, policies and procedures on assigned shift. In addition, handles customer relations, complimentary and any other management decision necessary for immediate resolution within scope of their authority.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Extensive knowledge of all areas of gaming
  • Supervisory and managerial experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years in Native American gaming
  • Required to Maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and concerns voiced by DNGE team members and guests
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Key gaming license issued by the SWO Gaming Commission
  • Must complete a 90-day probationary period
  • Dependable transportation available
  • Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and be insurable on our company’s policy throughout your time of employment with the casino

Responsibilities

  • Oversees entire operation in the absence of Department Managers and/or the General Manager
  • Handles all operational decisions on their scheduled shift or contacts the appropriate Department Manager for instructions to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Notifies Senior Management in the event of an emergency, as well as any other appropriate agency applicable to the situation
  • Resolves customer and/or team member disputes according to applicable policies and regulations
  • Responsible for Slot overrides on transactions over a specified amount
  • Responsible for inspection and verification of the machine for any jackpot over a specified amount
  • Reports daily by written report to the General Manager
  • Also prepares incident reports as incidents occur and provides copies to the appropriate parties (e.g. Gaming Commission, Department Managers, Surveillance, etc.)
  • Maintain adequate understanding of all departmental operations across the property
  • Must be able to rotate shifts (day, swing, grave)
  • Maintain adequate understanding of casino policy and procedures, departmental policies and procedures, Internal Controls and Tribal Gaming Regulations
