About The Position

The Driver License Division is looking to hire a Driver License Examiner for our Heber office. As a Driver License Examiner, you will collect and review client information, administer written and driving tests, communicate test findings, evaluate results, and make recommendations. You will also issue licenses, permits, registrations, and certificates. Additionally, you will interpret State Code, Policy and Procedure, explain them to applicants, determine eligibility for suspended license reinstatement, and analyze whether further medical information is needed. You will interact directly with the public in a sensitive and respectful manner.

Requirements

  • Customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Cash handling and register reconciliation
  • Data entry skills and work related experience
  • Work related experience handling of private and/or confidential information
  • A valid Utah Driver License and a good driving record
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history check
