About The Position

The DJT Server is responsible for the service of food and/or beverage, including order-taking and delivery of all food and beverage items. This role requires a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional approach to ensure a very high level of guest satisfaction. The server will check their station before, during, and after their shift for proper set-up and cleanliness, greet guests warmly, explain specials and promotions, and accurately record and input orders into the Point of Sale system. They will also retrieve orders from the kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver them to guests with appropriate condiments. Adherence to all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations is mandatory. The server will replenish beverages, check on guest satisfaction, market and serve dessert items and specialty beverages, present checks, and process payments according to resort procedures. Communication with kitchen staff is essential, and knowledge of food and beverage preparation is preferred. The role demands attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple assignments under time constraints. Additionally, servers must ensure their stations are clean, orderly, and stocked, tables are set correctly, and complete all side duties such as stocking condiments, folding napkins, and polishing glasses. Taking guest orders in a timely manner, specifically beverage orders within two minutes of seating, and maintaining complete knowledge of menu and beverage items, prices, preparation methods, and availability are key responsibilities. All other job-related duties as requested will also be performed.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain a Health Card from the Southern Nevada Health District and a TAM Card.
  • Must be able to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Six (6) months to one-year previous serving experience.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage including food preparation is preferred.
  • Additional language ability is preferred, Spanish in particular.

Responsibilities

  • Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
  • Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any specials and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
  • Record the details of the order from the guests, upsell, repeating the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
  • Input the order into the Point of Sale computer in exact compliance with department protocol in order to inform the kitchen of the relevant details in the order being placed.
  • When complete, retrieve order from kitchen, confirm its accuracy, lift and deliver to guest along with appropriate condiments.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
  • Market and serve upon request any dessert items or specialty beverages.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and present check. Process check per resort procedures.
  • Communicate with kitchen chefs and abide by their rules, guidelines and requests.
  • Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints.
  • Ensures that stations are clean, orderly and stocked with the specified condiments and promotional material.
  • Ensures that tables are set properly according to assigned station.
  • Always completes side duties, including; stocking condiments, folding napkins, polishing glasses, etc.
  • Effectively takes guest orders in a timely manner. Ensures that beverage orders are taken within two minutes after guest is seated.
  • Maintains complete knowledge of all menu and beverage items, their prices, method of preparation, and availability.
  • Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
