About The Position

Serves meals to patrons in a dining establishment by performing various duties related to guest service, order taking, food and beverage delivery, and maintaining the dining area. This role requires prompt attention to guest needs, efficient order processing, and adherence to service standards.

Requirements

Ability to acknowledge guests within 90 seconds of seating.
Ability to present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions.
Ability to take orders promptly and accurately.
Ability to serve food and beverages using correct procedures.
Ability to observe diners and respond to their needs.
Ability to settle guest checks and provide reports.
Ability to set up the dining room with clean equipment.
Ability to maintain a stocked section.
Ability to complete closing duties.
Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands, finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

Acknowledge guests within 90 seconds of seating.
Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
Take orders promptly and relay them to the kitchen and service bars.
Serve courses using correct service procedures.
Observe diners to attend to additional requests and determine when meals are completed.
Settle guest checks and submit them with a report at the end of the shift.
Set up the dining room with clean and polished equipment.
Maintain a presentable and fully stocked section throughout the dining period.
Complete all closing duties, including proper breakdown of the dining room.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Manager.
