About The Position

The Division Order Analyst will determine and maintain client-owned mineral and non-operated working interests. This role involves coordinating with operators regarding interest calculations and requirements for curative for ownership interests. The analyst will be responsible for researching and resolving revenue and JIB discrepancies, communicating with landmen and owners, and analyzing title opinions and other legal documentation to determine ownership in operated and non-operated wells. Additionally, the role requires communicating with clients, landmen, attorneys, and purchasers to research and resolve title issues, and working with an outsourced provider to ensure division of interest information is timely, accurate, consistent, and properly maintained in company systems. The analyst will also research and document suspense and escheat issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or energy related field, or equivalent experience and training
  • 1 to 5 years of Division Order Analyst experience or other industry related experience
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities readily
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of legal descriptions and land title documents
  • Knowledge of basic division order concepts, estates, and calculating decimal interest
  • Aptitude to effectively learn company specific accounting and operations systems
