Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and construction management experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive construction management experience.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership or management role overseeing multiple projects.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and profit and loss management.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, estimating, and project controls.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in the trades (Electrical, HVAC and/or Plumbing)
  • Certification through the Institute of Professional Managers (ICPM).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department to ensure smooth operation.
  • Review reports from managers and team members to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Establish communication with managers in other departments to coordinate efforts and solve problems as needed.
  • Provide support to employees in the form of coaching, counseling, or other methods of employee development.
  • Working with Human Resources to manage staffing needs, to include hiring, terminations, and the training of new employees.
  • Conducting performance evaluations to assess employee performance.
  • Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitoring financial performance to ensure goals are being met.
  • Establish and enforce organizational policies regarding employee conduct and ethics to promote a productive workplace environment.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
