About The Position

St. Louis County Government has an immediate opening on their leadership team in the Department of Transportation and Public Works. The Division Manager, Division of Code Enforcement, is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the County’s Division of Code Enforcement. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and County policies, directs plan review, permitting, inspection, and enforcement programs and other related activities and programs, oversees staff performance, and represents the division in a variety of internal and external meetings.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in engineering
  • Licensure as a Registered Professional by the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, and Professional Land Surveyors
  • Ten years or more of related professional experience in progressively responsible roles
  • Five years of management or supervisory experience
  • Current, valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and manage daily Code Enforcement division operations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, County Department policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop and monitor the division’s budget.
  • Plan and evaluate the work of subordinate staff through subordinate levels of supervision.
  • Represent the County Division and Department in meetings with other County Departments and a variety of business and community organizations.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.
