About The Position

D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Division Human Resource Manager for its Human Resources Department. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of Human Resources and payroll at the division level, serving as a liaison between Corporate and the Division, and handling all employee relations issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Handling all aspects of Human Resources and payroll at the division level
  • Serving as liaison between Corporate and Division
  • Handling all employee relations issues
  • Recruitment
  • New hire processing
  • Assisting managers with employee concerns on disciplinary action
  • Making managers aware of company policies relating to certain management responsibilities
  • New hire orientation
  • Reference checks
  • Conducting benefits Open Enrollment meetings
  • Answering employee questions concerning benefits and HR policies
  • Responsible for division payroll, including distributing timesheets and paychecks, collecting, reviewing, correcting, and obtaining approval of timesheets, and inputting hours and vacation time for forwarding to Corporate
  • Processing salary increases, bonuses, transfers, promotions, and terminations
  • Maintaining vacation calendar and notifying department managers of vacation/sick/personal time balances
  • Administering worker's compensation for the division
  • Ensuring all HR regulations are followed
  • Helping train staff
  • Managing subordinate administrative staff
  • Directly supervising two or more employees
  • Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
